Judith always said she wanted it to last 100 years.– Camilla Block
We were thrilled when art patron and philanthropist Judith Neilsen allowed us to film inside Phoenix Central Park - the first time a film crew has been given access to the gallery.
The Local Project joined architects Camilla Block and David Jaggers of Durbach Block Jaggers, and John Wardle of Wardle Studio, to talk about Judith's extraordinary brief and the task of creating a building to last 100 years.
As The Local Project writes, "Durbach Block Jaggers took the lead on the astonishing performance space, while Wardle designed the gallery; they came together in the outer courtyard, a breathing space that belongs to neither and both at the same time."
Our sincere thanks to Judith Neilsen for giving us this amazing opportunity.
